Suspended...not Fired

This report from Catholic World News didn't make much sense to me at first...
 
A Catholic school board has suspended a teacher at St. Catherine of Siena School in Mississauga, Ontario, following remarks she reportedly made at a Quds Day protest in Toronto.
Iran founded Quds Day in 1979 to call for an end to Israel’s existence and its rule of Jerusalem as well as to express solidarity with Palestinians.
Calling upon fellow protesters to “support the resistance (against Israel) in any form,” Nadia Shoufani reportedly said, “Palestine will be liberated with your efforts. Glory to the martyrs. Victory, freedom to the prisoners and liberation for the Palestinians, all Palestinians from the river [Jordan River] to the sea [Mediterranean Sea] Palestine will be free.”
