Well, At Least SOMEBODY gets it!
Celebrating Mass for the repose of the soul of Father Jacques Hamel, an Australian archbishop said that the French priest was killed "in odium fidei-- that is, in hatred of the faith."
Archbishop Anthony Fisher of Sydney reminded his congregation that he was using the formula that describes the death of a martyr. He went on to say that the killing was part of "a targeted attack on our Christian faith." Noting that the Islamic terrorists had conducted a ritual sacrifice on the altar and delivered a mock homily, the archbishop concluded: "So their act was not just murder but also sacrilege, desecration, blasphemy."
