The Doubting Thomas Feast of St. Bodfan, June 2
All it says on Catholic Online is this:
Patron saint of Ahern, in Gwynredd, Wales. He saw the formation of Beaumaris Bay in a natural inundation and became a religious.
Wikpedia says:
He was the son of Helig ap Glanawg and died in the 7th century. Supposedly, he saw his family's land inundated by the sea and became a religious.
And what does the footnote say about the source for this information?
St. Bodfan from Catholic online retrieved 8 June 2013.
Be that as it may, there's a really neat little church called St. Mary and St. Bodfan Church which dates back to the 13th century. It is located in Llanaber, which I am sure is pronounced just as it's spelled.
