Islamic Outreach, Part XLIII
From an earlier post on this blog:
Pope Francis spoke to the diplomatic corps and amongst other things, said, "Hence it is important to intensify dialogue among the various religions, and I am thinking particularly of dialogue with Islam."
Meanwhile....from Jihad Watch:
Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram, said in February: “We Jama’atu Ahlissunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad are fighting Christians wherever we meet them.” Jama’atu Ahlissunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad is the actual name of Boko Haram: the Congregation of the People of the Sunnah for Dawah and Jihad.
“Nigeria: 8 Christians killed and church in flames,” AGI, June 12, 2014 (thanks to C. Cantoni):
(AGI) – Abuja, 11 June – Armed men killed at least 8 Christians in their attack on a church in the central state of Plateau, and afterwards set the church on fire. The police made their statement, saying that for now they have not assigned the blame for the action, even though the MO and the aims of the attack lead to presuming it was the work by the Boko Haram Islamic Fundamentalists, who have killed thousands of people since 2009. (AGI) .
