Like Henry in the Snows of Conossa

Marc Thiessen is reporting that Fidel Castro intends to either convert or return to Catholicism when Pope Benedict XVI visits Cuba in March. Despite being the idol of our leftist friends in America (I'm talking to you Sean Penn, Jack Nicholson, and everyone who works for NPR), Castro is one of the vilest, vicious thugs to ever destroy a country. According to "The Black Book of Communism", "From 1959 through the late 1990s, more than 100,000 Cubans experienced life in one of [Castro’s] camps [or] prisons…. Between 15,000 and 17,000 people were shot." Anyway, Jonah Goldberg wrote about this on National Review's website under the title seen above. What does it mean? In the year 1077, The Holy Roman Emperor, Henry IV, was excommunicated. He went to the castle in Conossa where Pope Gregory VII was staying. He had to wait for three days outside the gates before the Pope would see him. Pope Gregory DID lift the excommunication.
