Feast of St. Cyril of Alexandria

St. Cyril succeeded his uncle, St. Theophilus, as Patriarch of Alexander. This made me think of this:

Theophilus Thistle, the thrifty thistle sifter, while sifting a sieve of unsifted thistles, thrust thrice three thousand thistles through the thick of his thumb. See that thou, thistle sifter, while sifting a sieve of unsifted thistles, thrust not thrice three thousand thistles through the thick of thy thumb. Success to the thrifty thistle sifter!
