Archbishop Burke of St. Louis

 

Yesterday, Archbishop Burke excommunicated two more people for being in schism. It's a long story, but it has to do with the closing of St. Stanislaus Church. The Archbishop wanted the church closed; some members of the church decided they wouldn't. They decided to set up a "Catholic" church outside the purview of the Bishop.

The Archbishop Burke warned the two individuals three times NOT to join the Board of St. Stanislaus Kostka, but they didn't listen.

That makes FIVE excommunications in two days!
